Pregnancy System
So, the new pregnancy system works like this.

After having sex, either from being defeated or through a map event, there’s an initial 10% chance that Ren becomes pregnant. When this happens, a new short animation plays and Ren enters a pre-pregnancy state.

This pre-pregnancy state lasts 3 days. During this time, Ren isn’t fully sure if she’s pregnant or not. You can end this state early by using a pregnancy test, which is a new item sold at the hospital.

If the test is negative, the state ends and Ren can try again normally. If it’s positive, the state continues and transitions into the full pregnancy phase.

Pregnancy State Gameplay
Once Ren enters the pregnancy state, several things change.

Her portrait updates to visually reflect the pregnancy. Normal activities, jobs, dungeons, and events are no longer available. Instead, only pregnancy-specific activities and events can be accessed.

Unavailable locations and activities will appear greyed out on the map, making it clear what can and can’t be done during this state.

While pregnant, Ren will also earn money automatically each day. This is explained through the story, so I won’t spoil it here.

This state lasts 3 days, making it 6 days total including pre-pregnancy.

You can end the pregnancy early by going to the hospital and talking to the nurse. This consumes the current time phase. If you let it run its full duration, Ren will automatically go to the hospital and the pregnancy will conclude naturally.

All of this includes dialogue. The first time is fully unique, and repeat runs use shorter, repeated lines.

Future Content for Pregnancy
From now on, the game basically has two layers of content: normal gameplay and pregnancy gameplay.

For now, I only added one new pregnancy activity, the sauna, which includes a brand new CG. This update is mostly about building the foundation.

In the future, I plan to add things like: pregnancy-exclusive outfits new events quests special activities

Since this is a short, temporary state, these activities will usually have better rewards. For example, the sauna increases max HP when you spend time there.

Stability
Integrating all of this into the current gameplay was honestly the hardest part. I tried really hard not to break anything, and as far as I know, nothing exploded

Still, please test both states and let me know if you find bugs or anything weird.

Scrapped Minigame (Now Reused)
In the last devlog, I showed an image of a minigame that was supposed to trigger during sex to determine pregnancy.

In the end, I decided not to use it there. Reading a scene and suddenly being forced into a minigame felt disruptive and got annoying very fast.

That said, the minigame and art were already done, so I moved it to the arcade in Sector A. You can go there and play it freely.

Opting Out of Pregnancy
If you’re not interested in pregnancy content at all, you can completely skip it.

A new item, the condom, is now sold at the hospital and convenience store. At the start of a sex scene, you’ll be given the option to use one.

Using it skips the entire pregnancy system and even shows a special CG variation.

New characters(NPCs)
A new character has been added. She’s related to Ren, and you’ll meet her if you enter the pregnancy state.

New named NPCs are also being added. From now on, I’ll slowly introduce NPCs with names and portraits to make the city feel more alive, instead of everyone being generic. The character mentioned above is one of them.

Name Customization
A new Characters category has been added to the options menu.

Here, you can customize how Ren refers to certain characters. I recommend tweaking these based on your preferences. More customizable names will be added in the future.

New Passives
With this update and the new system, I also added new passives related to pregnancy.

These include things like: Increasing the chance of getting pregnant Knowing instantly if Ren became pregnant Other bonuses tied to this system
Dialogue Animations
The entrance animation for character portraits during dialogue has been improved. It’s a small visual change, but it looks much nicer and smoother now.
