You, a Commander from the Proxima Space Agency, have joined an interstellar mission to Tau Ceti to investigate a system-wide communications blackout. At 0.3c, you are now around fifty years into the journey, most of it in cryo-sleep.
The Sol system agencies, Trans-Jovian Expansion Agency and Orion Space Agency – Mars Integration, have laid the foundation and laws that your agency abide by. Sending you to Tau Ceti broke those protocols.
