Content
- Faradoe bonding scene added.
- Two new Tails added: Gelakin and Grablin.
- To learn more about bonding with Gelakin, check out the teacher in the biochem lab in the Tail Academy.
- As for Grablin, a new apothecary shop just opened up in the center of Lotus.
- The Training Fields have re-opened. You can find them to the east of Lotus and this is where you’ll find the new Tails.
- Faradoe, Gelakin, and Grablin bonding quests were added, though only Faradoe has a bonding scene right now. Gelakin and Grablin have placeholders for now.
Features
- The Map menu placeholder has been replaced with an actual map. This will have a bit more functionality as the game continues.
- The level cap has been updated to 18 (provided you have the Lotus collar) which includes a handful of new moves that can be learned by Tails.
- The Tension/combat system has been overhauled.
- Swap moves now have a turn-based cooldown instead of requiring a certain amount of tension to activate.
- Tension now only imparts penalties on the tense Tail: They’re more likely to take damage and enemy moves are more likely to activate any special powers when used against them. The stat stage bonus has been removed completely (those -accuracy moves were pretty OP when they applied a guaranteed -2 acc every time they were used)
- Tension now goes up to 6 max.
- The amount of tension that moves give the user has been modified to fit better with the new system.
- When a Tail learns a new move, the move details are now shown on screen so you know what you just got
Bug Fixes, QoL, Optimizations
- The big one: We’ve added crash reporting to the game so now if you experience a crash in game, it’ll automatically get sent to us along with some information that will make it easier for us to fix. We still appreciate bug reports, but hopefully we’ll be more proactive with our fixes going forward!
- We think we fixed the crashes on Windows that occurred for some users when entering their names.
- Fixed a bug where Tails sent to the HAREM were not healing on the way there.
- Fixed a bug where you could open the utility ring while talking to someone.
- Companions now jump and walk towards you a little faster when they lock eyes.
- Longtalk moved to the Utility Ring instead of the sidebar menu.
- Fixed a bug where you could encounter a wild Tail on the same step you lock eyes with an adversarial Companion.
- Fixed a little jitter that occurred with Jackson’s sprite sometimes while walking. (This was a lot more of a pain than it sounds, but it was driving us crazy)
- Fixed an issue where the paralyzed electric animation was played on both stat boxes regardless of who was actually paralyzed.
- Fixed a clipping issue with Lumen in the FUCK’M.
- Optimized the “sticker” shader used on desktop platforms for portraits, replaced and removed some other shaders in multiple spots. This should not only help with performance in a bunch of places, but may also fix a couple crashes we were seeing on Android and Windows.
- Added a version string to the main menu.
- Fixed a bug that prevented Tails from shaking their heads “No” when they weren’t interested in bonding.
- Speaker names are now colorized in the dialogue bubbles to help differentiate who is speaking.
- The Silkie leaves quest is a little easier to follow now: bushes lose their flowers when they are picked, and the item popup and inventory show a count of how many leaves you have so far.
