Set in the Edo period, this story unfolds amidst the tense conflict between supernatural beings called Yokai and samurai. The main character is a young man eager to become a samurai, living modestly with his younger sister in a small village. In this world, there are iron seals known as “Invoke Halo” which imprison powerful Yokai within them. Invoke Halo can be used to summon Yokai to the world. However, when one Yokai is released, all the other Yokai awaken as well. The strongest samurai in the land hears a rumor about Invoke Halo hoping to find a worthy opponent to test his skills against. But the Halo only responds to the touch of the strongest. Using this power, the samurai summons a powerful Yokai, and with its arrival, everything changes, many Yokai begin to appear, and the balance of the world is shattered.​
