Donuts for Deer Teeth is a true top-down steal-’em-up crossed with a light dating sim. While it initially took inspiration from the horror classic Darkwood, DFDT continued to evolve into a faster and faster paced game. In its current version it’s a bit like Hotline Miami but with light stealth and RPG elements. The game is set in the decaying Burbs, a middle-of-nowhere turnoff where the drive to your job takes 2 hours and the pay doesn’t even cover half of that. Kudzu creeps in around the looming whale-falls of decrepit big box stores, as the security within gets tighter and tighter.​

I realized that while Endless Mode is fully functional, it’s rather content light & unpolished.
You’re only getting:
- 1 new game mode
- 5 new levels
- 6 new weapons
- 4 new enemies
- 6 new music tracks
- 1 new playable character
For this reason, I’m choosing to release it as a [beta]. This means that people who want to play the game NOW can go ahead and dive in, while those who would rather wait until the game is feature complete can opt out & avoid spoiling it for themselves.
