What's New in Byte - Desktop Pet Version - 0.6.0?

• NEW Furniture Items
  • These items are items that stick around on your desktop, even between runnings of the game!
  • When Byte is placed in these, she might stay here till you pull her off. Some even let her change clothing!
  • In Passive Play, Byte will use furniture as normal and stand up on her own to continue her routines.
  • Furniture & Companions are now saved between sessions
  • Furniture requests a confirmation prompt to be deleted
• NEW Phone (Opened by pressing Tab)
  • This new menu provides the player a way to curb RNG and spawn in items, characters and games at the cost of tickets
  • Wallpapers that represent YOU (And Byte)
  • APP: Phone Call
    • Spend tickets to call in your favorite companions to accompany Byte
  • APP: Game Store
    • Play minigames directly from the phone instead of setting up the game cabinet!
    • Games can be unlocked by beating the game itself or buying it outright with tickets

    • Buy Items or Furniture here!
    • You can now buy basic items you’ve discovered! You’ll still need to combine them
    • Buy new Wallpapers to customize your phone
    • Upload your own wallpaper by dropping it in the Wallpapers folder!

• Ticket Changes
  • Players now passively gain tickets; 1 ticket every 2 seconds
  • Closing Popup’s now grants Players tickets; 5 for each normal popup
  • Completing Everlust Glade endings will reward a greater number of tickets when you close the corresponding popup art depending on the rarity of the ending!
• Override Support
  • Clothing is now able to persist between animations, but is only planned to be used for innocuous animations like furniture-use.
  • Overrides may now chain backwards leading to longer animations or branches leading to more natural feeling scenes.

• Supporters Page
  • Within the Pause Menu, there is now a supporters page. If you are subbed to Cindesh’s substar at the time of an update, you will find your name located there!
• Guide Book
  • Controls and Guide are now separated to cover more information!
• Passive Mode Changes
  • You may now pick up items during Passive Play
  • Companions will naturally leave after a large amount of time (Around 3 to 5 minutes)
• Settings
  • Added the ability to change and edit the Limit of Items, Popups and Companion Limits
• Modding
  • Modded Characters can now commit to Conversations with pre-existing Actors and Byte
  • Modders can now add additional dialogue for Byte and Companions
  • Modders can now add additional outfits for Byte
  • Items, Characters, and Attachment Overrides now have new settings (EX: Items can be flagged for isn’t buyable or only buyable once found)
  • Overrides can now be chained backwards or branching.
• Bug Fixes
  • Companion Limit and Companion Duplicate dialogue is now different
  • Items being able to be combined when not visible/in use is now disallowed to prevent soft-locking
  • Byte’s animation state machine is more stable and should no longer walk around without animations sometimes
  • Disable Popup and Disable Convo’s settings now properly function and save.
  • Minigame UI Scaling has been fixed
  • Startup Text will no longer Deadname if your deadname is set as your system name. (Please rename your computers)
  • Window Layering Bugs have been hopefully solved with a new Window Hierarchy manager.
