What's New in Adventurer Trainer Version - 0.2.3b?
This update brings a massive amount of gameplay fixes and improvements, new region and minibosses, proper arena, blackjack, item enchantments, food, new Boons, and a bunch of new H-scenes.
Oh, and of course, our first group H-scene is here!
Story:

Technical:
– Spanish translation for 0.2.2b content now comes embedded within the game! Thanks to Beltrack for all the hard work
– Implemented a new shader-driven rendering process and texture stitching in hopes to improve performance
– Switched some text effects from Python-driven to transforms-driven to improve performance
– Removed Discord presence
– Added item enchantment system, available at the blacksmith. It consumes Enchantment Crystals and can be used to empower your items with special effects, stronger stats, etc
– Revamped the cheat menu for items. It now looks like a shop so its easier to use
– Added a way to toggle relationship status in cheats menu
– You can now play blackjack at the Succubi Cafe
– Changelogs are now going to be shown in-game after updating
– New achievements
– You can now eat at the Guild. Food provides temporary effects for the day, allowing you to gain more XP and providing useful buffs
– You can now cook caught fish at the mansion for bonuses, much like Guild-bought food
– Added Language, Renderer and Accessibility settings to the options menu
– Restyled Renderer and Accessibility settings
– Some events can now belong to multiple categories simultaneously. This is useful specifically for group H-scenes
Adventuring:
– +3 Side Quests
– +2 Bosses
– +1 New Region
– Added Raphiel’s boons: Sadistic Focus (extra damage for each consecutive attack), Sly Manipulation (applies Confusion), Mocking Blast (dead enemies explode and deal damage)
– Implemented proper boss challenges in Colosseum. You can now earn power gems as rewards for completing arena fights with ramping difficulty levels
– Brigand Boss is now guaranteed to spawn if you have a quest to defeat him
Balancing:
– Removed “helmet” wearable type from Mana Crown. It is now replaced with “accessory”
– Added new armor items, accessories, and enchantment crystals
– Chainmail now provides more HP
– Certain buff/debuff status effects can no longer be dispelled
– Reworked Megumin’s “Explosive Force” upgrade, renamed to “All Out”: Explosion will always consume all of Megumin’s mana to increase the damage (no less than 50 mana to cast). Damage increases by 1% per 2 mana spent
– Reworked Megumin’s “Cataclysm” upgrade: now provides a flat 50% increase to critical chance.
– Buffed Megumin’s “Cumulative Explosion”: each hit’s damage penalty reduced from 50% to 40%
– Rebalanced the frequency of Boons appearing while adventuring. They are now more random
– Mark effects are no longer dispellable
– Regular enemies can now have immunities to damage types
– Having an immunity to a damage type now prevents an associated Damage-Over-Time effect from applying entirely
– Fire Elementals are now immune to fire, and Water Elementals are immune to water
– Multiplicative modifiers from items and buffs now apply after flat bonuses
Minor changes:
– Inventory description text will now adjust its size to fit into the window, plus some minor styling
– Eris’s affection counter will now show the total (instead of the increment) after her important reveal
– Infinite dungeon will no longer signal that a boss is available
– Minor changes to existing scenes
– Adjusted some unit tints in some maps
– Updated Chunchunmaru’s icon
– Added category filtering to shops + some styling
– Removed “Minibosses killed” from stats and added “Items Enchanted” instead
– Overlapping damage mods & bonuses will now display added together in inventory
– Quests can now reward items
– Regions with associated quests will now display an indicator on the map
– New icon for immunities to improve their readability
– Improved performance in main menu
– Added Fishing Bait, sold by Wiz, that guarantees a reward from a fishing pond
– Adjusted trap positioning
– Removed Earplugs. Megumin would want ALL the hearing damage she can get from an explosion
– Redid the visuals for the Colosseum and Raphiel’s first event
– Slightly touched up the visuals for the Quintessential dream
– Converted some of the older uncompressed visuals to WEBP, saving space
– Minor updates to generic visuals
Fixes:
– Fixed a bug with Syphon Drain Touch that could cause an uncaught exception
– Fixed an issue in the book reading screen where the book’s name could spill out of its container
– Fixed an issue with the skills upgrade screen that did not account for heroes stats and properties on hover
– Fixed an issue with the achievements descriptions spilling out of their containers
– Fixed an issue that could result in an error related to unsafe removal of status effects from units
– Fixed a bug preventing Doppelgangers from benefiting from passive status effects of their equipped items. I think they might be stronger now
– Fixed a bug that could result in an error when using Drain Touch Syphon under specific conditions
– Fixed a bug that could cause multiple Doppelgangers spawn in one enemy slot
– Weapon status effects and stat modifiers will now apply to the hero. The same way they would from a wearable item
– Fixed an issue that could cause the attack animation playing only once when attacking with boost enabled
– Fixed a bug that could cause lighting effects to become misaligned with the sprite position
– Fixed a bug that allowed enemy units use abilities without respecting their cooldowns
– Fixed a bug that could cause certain scenes render twice and becoming an unnecessary performance drain
– Fixed an issue that could prevent the plot marker from showing over the quest board
– Fixed an issue the prevented large numbers from being shortened on display if they were negative
– Fixed the announcement screen in the main menu related to the game’s version
– Fixed a bug which could cause Rin’s Rookie Killer dialogue incorrectly show after the Rookie Killer was already defeated
– Fixed an issue that could cause hint popups in the Girls menu to spill past the screen boundaries
– Fixed an issue that could sometimes consume player’s input before passing it over to the pond, making it nigh impossible to catch a fish
– Fixed an issue preventing Chris from addressing the player with a custom name in an H-scene
– Fixed an issue that could sometimes prevent the tutorial for multiple weapons from showing up
– Minor spelling fixes
– Various minor fixes I could not be bothered to log
