Set in a university town, Four Vices begins on the night of a rare lunar eclipse — a blood-red moon that cracks something open in the world. Four very different men are each approached by a supernatural force and offered a gift rooted in a human vice. What none of them know is that the entire event is being orchestrated from the shadows by Director Maxwell Kane, a calm, scholarly man overseeing a secret experiment on human nature from high inside the university’s Directorate.
