You are the new night guard, and the block is yours after dark. Every shift you run the night rounds, sweep the cells, and decide who gets covered for and who gets transferred out. You work the intake desk like a paperwork puzzle, reading each new inmate’s file and catching the lies she tells you. Every lie you catch is something she now owes you.
Order is not the only currency in here. The girls want things. A phone call, extra rations, protection, a smuggled favor. Grant it, and she pays you back in her own way. Refuse it, and she remembers. Build her trust slow, or break her resistance fast. Either way you climb from Night Guard all the way to Warden, running a quiet little empire behind the bars.​
