The game explores themes of trust and communication as they embark on this unconventional journey together while focusing on the emotional and psychological toll this experience takes on their relationship, including the feelings of jealousy, insecurity and angst.

What's New in Angst Version - Special?

If you’ve played part 10 of Angst, no matter which branch you ended up in, you would know that this was coming.
Claire’s Hotpast is a linear (non-branching/kinetic) visual novel (VN) that takes place in the world of Angst. It is an anthology, where each part features Claire sharing with Miles one instance of her hot past.
The VN is linear because making a branching story about the past would lead to so many canon events that could potentially break Angst itself or increase the scope to a point where I will not be able to do justice to it.
While the VN itself is linear, you as the viewer have one decision you can make – whether you want to view the events in the current timeline as Claire narrates the events to Miles or if you just want to view the events of the past.
You will be able to rename all characters as with Angst so that you can carry over name changes from Angst to Claire’s Hotpast without breaking immersion.
