Previews only — nothing here is live. Pick a navbar and a footer by number and they get built for real.
Navbars
All three keep the current structure — logo left, menu, tools right — and use the Font Awesome already loaded by the theme. The difference is how the Games dropdown and search behave.
Active section marker
Same navbar, five ways of showing which section you are in. “Games” is the active item in each.
White text against muted siblings. No decoration at all — the calmest option.
A permanent version of the hover background, so active and hover speak the same language.
Anchored flush to the bottom edge and spanning the whole item, the way a tab bar works. The old one floated 12px above the edge, inset on both sides, attached to nothing.
A small mark under the label. Present but very light.
A rule along the top of the bar instead. Reads as a position marker rather than decoration.
Typeface
Same navbar, three faces. Ubuntu ships only 300/400/500/700 — there is no 600 — so nav links can be 500 or 700 and nothing between. Inter and the system stack both have 600.
Humanist, designed as an OS brand face. Distinctive letterforms; no 600 weight.
Built for UI at small sizes. Tall x-height, unambiguous shapes, full weight range, tabular figures for the stat counters.
Whatever the OS uses. Zero download, so the fastest option, but it looks different on every machine.
